THE DEMONIZED SELF
We have always demonized what we don't understand.
The difficult. The disobedient. The strange. The angry.
The excessive. The people who refuse to become what is expected of them.
But a monster is rarely allowed to tell their own story.
The Demonized Self asks what happens when they finally do.

WHO GETS TO DECIDE WHAT MAKES A MONSTER?

Each Demonized Self begins with a real person.
I ask them about the parts of themselves that have been misunderstood, judged, feared, hidden, or made to feel unacceptable. Their experiences become the mythology I use to create their demon.
I digitally sculpt each portrait individually, translating elements of their story into horns, expressions, forms, textures, symbols, and other physical characteristics.
The result isn't meant to show what is monstrous about them.
It's a portrait of what happens when they reclaim the things they were taught made them monstrous.
MEET THE DEMONS

BECOME A DEMON

The Demonized Self is an evolving portrait series, and I invite others to become part of it.
Tell me your story. Tell me what you've been told was too strange, too loud, too difficult, too emotional, too obsessive, too ambitious, too different—or simply too much.
I will interpret that story and transform you into an original Demonized Self.
You don't choose a demon from a catalogue.
You give me the story. I create the monster.
